Using communications strategically is key to our work. As a responsible communications agency it's part of our job to identify how to use communications wisely - so you get value for your money. We have worked with a variety of clients to develop an overall 'joined-up' strategy. Here's an example.
Case Study: Upstream
Upstream offers strategic consultancy to companies on how to impliment sustainable policies. Upstream has a reputation for excellent client relations, however the firm has grown rapidly over the last year and their existing knowledge management and customer relationship management methods have become over stretched.
If this issue was not addressed it could have started to impinge on organisational efficiency, and the very good relations they have with clients. Senior management realised this was not a platform for further growth. The key to the solution was developing a stepped approach to the introduction of new ways of working, particularly knowledge managment, which staff could buy into and test out before continuing further.
We audited their information systems and interviewed staff on how they would like to see changes made. We then presented our initial findings and ran a workshop to develop a 'joined-up' strategy. A final report was then produced which outlines the steps by which they can move from having adhoc unorganised information systems to fully wrought Customer Relationship Management within 3 years.
Because the strategy is joined-up it addresses how staff can share knowledge more effectively as well as how to promote and use the flow of information between the organisation and stakeholders to support innovation and growth in the longer term.
