Creativity is a natural part of being human. Most of us connect far more readily with some aspect of creativity than we do with some of the abstract languages and methods that we have invented to manage our society. The Creative Learning Agency exists to promote the use of creative methods in the teaching of all subjects in the Bath/Bristol area. Their focus is on schools but they also support higher education and other learning areas as well. To help them do this Ethical Media have just designed and built a web site.
The web site enables teachers to find artists with an incredibly straightforward and relevant search engine and invites artists to register their educational potential so that teachers can find them. This valuable service is wrapped with detailed advice about using creativity in education, news and events and educational opportunities for artists to apply for.
The site is a simple and very valuable hub for creativity in education in the Bath and Bristol area. We hope that other organisations are inspired by this model to introduce similar services in their areas.
