Accountability 'vital' if NGOs are to retain trust

International nongovernmental organisations (NGOs) must become more accountable if they are to retain their influence and position of trust, according to a United Nations report. The study says many NGOs are moving from confrontation to engagement with business but most lack the accountability they demand from companies.

Litigation a real threat for sites not following disability standards

Companies should treat the UK's first case brought under the Disability Discrimination Act as a wake-up call, lawyers have said.
